It all began in 1986 with Frieder Kuhnert, who turned wooden figures with Erzgebirge motifs into a profession in a small workshop. Three of his four children continue the turning business and specialize in different areas. Drechslerei Kuhnert GmbH now has around 100 employees and the products are exported far beyond Europe, for example to Japan, the USA or Canada.
One of our main focus is on the highest quality and contemporary design. With this in mind, we are constantly incorporating new materials and innovative processes into the development of our products. By using modern laser technology, for example, we can give our smoke figures different facial expressions.
Our extensive assortment includes various wooden figures, smoke figures, pyramids, arcs of lights, angels, Easter bunnies, lanterns, tealight holders, craft sets for children, tree and ostrich decorations, lamps and other decorative items.
