King Royal Blue and Ochre German Nutcracker. Dressed in his Royal Blue Dress Uniform but with contrasting Ochre pants this King Royal Blue Ochre German Nutcracker stands a proud 37 cm (just about 14 1/2 inches) and was handcrafted in Seiffen in the woodshops nestled in the Erzgebirge Mountain region of Germany where the wooden nutcracker was first created! This King Royal Blue Ochre German Nutcracker was made by the Fuchtner family and it was Wilhelm Friedrich Fuchtner that is credited with first creating the wooden nutcracker back in 1870. As far back as 1786 Gotthelf Friedrich Fuchtner was selling wooden figurines at the Dresdener Striezel Market to supplement his family’s carpenter business. King Royal Blue Ochre German Nutcracker is signed by Volker Fuchtner the head of the family Nutcracker business (and Volker Fuchtner is the 6th generation of Fuchtner’s running this Nutcracker family business). A true collectible that has a history and a beauty that will last for generations to come.
Fill your Holiday home with a German Nutcracker collection that will make a stunning centerpiece for your mantle or dining table.
