Projecting a dignified appearance is important to the Constable in the Erzgebirge Mountains.  The miners and woodsman who made their home there in the late 1800s were a quiet, hardworking people, seldom in need of the constables services.  This Miniature Constable German Nutcracker stands 14.5 cm tall (about 5 3/4 inches) and was handcrafted in the workshops in Seiffen Germany, the home of the wooden nutcracker.
