In the Erzgebirge Mountains, it is everyones job to help and protect the wildlife living in the surrounding forest. Taking one of their local hand-crafts, the Pyramid, the people of Seiffen can display their care for, and love of the woods, and all the animals living in them. The first tier of this pyramid shows deer, careful & hesitant before feeding at the trough set up in the forest. One level up are the people who work in the woods, cutting and gathering wood and mushrooms, with baskets on their backs to carry their bounty. The forest often means heat and food and income for a small community nestled in its arms, and in Seiffen, Germany, the local folk respect and take pride in their woods. On the third tier you can see the shepherd grazing in the valleys and fields with his sheep, and on the fourth level is a stationary set of shaved trees. This Pyramid has 4 levels with 3 rotating tiers. A special feature, is that this Woodland Pyramid runs on 110 Volt electricity. Stands about 24 1/2 inches tall. Handcrafted by the master woodworkers at Mueller of the Erzgebirge Mountain region, in Seiffen Germany.
