This Eight-day Half Timbered Chalet Cuckoo Clock is 15 1/2 inches tall, and is a very detailed and wonderfully crafted.  Under the roof with its dormer and hand laid shingles, up in the rafters you have the handpainted wooden Black Forest Dancering couples, who dance around to the music on the full hour while the handcarved and handpainted Beer Drinkers raise their steins and the waterwheel turns on the hour - with the cuckoos call.  Note the intricate woodwork on the front of the chalet, and the family of handcarved St Bernard dogs. There is an automatic night shut-off for the big wooden cuckoo call and music.  Contains Swiss music movement with 2 melodies (Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer), and needs to be wound by pulling the chain only once each week.  Made in the heart of Germanys Black Forest by the Schneider Cuckoo Clock company.
